Embassy of the Republic of Korea is seeking a Project Assistant and Caretaker

The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Oslo is seeking a project assistant and caretaker for the Embassy' s upcoming renovation and maintenance. The Embassy will undergo renovation this coming fall 2021, that will be an ongoing project until mid 2023 (tentatively). The project assistant will provide administrative support throughout the Embassy's renovation, and other tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities include:

Act as liaison between the Embassy and project managers, engineers, contractors, and others.

In addition to the above job responsibilities, the following duties may also be assigned.

Daily inspections of all facilities (including minor repairs, if necessary)

Contact various suppliers in maintenance

Maintenance of green areas (mowing and minor repairs)

Driving diplomatic vehicles

Missions required by the embassy

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Relevant *professional experience (two years or more) or knowledge about building maintenance and renovation

* electrical, mechanical, architectural field

Valid driver's license in Norway

Legally qualified to work in Norway

Available to start to work from August 2021

Fluency in English, preferably also Norwegian

CONDITIONS/BENEFITS

Period of Employment: Until the renovation project's completion (mid 2023)

Contract period may be extended, depending on progress made in the Embassy's renovation.

Monthly basic salary: 29 000 -- 30 000 kroner, commensurate with relevant experience and skills.

Working hours : Mon-Fri, 08:45~16:15 (lunch break: 12:00~13:00)
