내가 한국에 대해서 특히 좋아하는 것들 // Things which I especially LIKED about South Korea Part 2

오늘은 제가 왜 한국 생활을 좋아하는지를 이야기할 거예요. 저는 한국에서 1년에 살았었어요. 한국에서 재미있는 일을 날마다 많이 했어요. 첫 번째로 제일 좋아하는 것은 노래방이에요. 한국에서 노래방은 어디에나 있어서 친구하고 자주 갔어요. 저는 한국어를 아직 잘 이야기할 수 없어서 보통 영어로 노래를 불렀어요. 저는 음악을 좋아해서 노래를 자주 불렀었어요. 항상 재미있었어요. 하지만, 노르웨이에서는 노래방이 별로 없어요. 저는 오슬로에 노래방이 있다는 것을 알고 있지만, 별로 좋아하지 않아요. 그리고 노래방 요금이 비싸요. 아직 노르웨이에서 노래방에 안 가봤어요. 노르웨이에서는 노래방 문화가 없어요. 그래서 한국에 가면, 노래방에서 좋아하는 노래를 많이 부르고 싶어요. 진짜 재미있어요.

두 번째로 한국에서는 식당이 많이 있어서 맛있는 음식을 어디에서든지 먹을 수 있어요. 한국 사람은 일을 마치고 보통 식당하고 커피숍에 가요. 한국에는 커피 문화가 있어요. 저는 한국에서 한국 친구랑 저녁을 먹고 난 후에 보통 커피숍에 갔어요. 한국에서는 어디든지 맛있는 커피를 마실 수 있어요. 한국 학생들도 자주 커피숍에서 숙제해요. 제가 한국에 처음 갔을 때, 진짜 놀랐어요. 왜냐하면 한국에는 스타벅스가 약 1000개 있어요.
한편, 노르웨이에서는 스타벅스가 17개 밖에 없어요. 저는 노르웨이에서 커피숍에 별로 안 가요. 한국 커피숍 문화가 재미있고 좋아요. 나는 한국 커피숍에서 편하게 즐길 수 있어요.

세 번째로 한국 사람들은 파티하면 보통 식당하고 클럽에 가요. 집에서 파티를 안 해요. 한국에는 클럽이 많이 있는데 어디든지 갈 수 있어요. 예컨대 서울에 있는 도시들은 새벽까지 잠들지 않아요. 저는 한국 생활을 진짜 즐겼어요. 한편, 노르웨이에서 파티하면 친구를 보통 집에서 만나고 술을 같이 마셔요. 노르웨이에 보통 house party라는 문화가 있어요. 노르웨이 사람들은 생일하고 신년 파티할 때 자주 집에서 놀아요. 한편, 한국 사람은 보통 밖에서 놀기를 좋아해요.




In this video I’m talking about why I liked Korean life when I was living there for one year. Every day I did a lot of interesting things there. The first thing I liked was karaoke. You can find karaoke everywhere in Korea so I went there very often with my friends. I can not speak Korean very much yet, but I usually sang in English. It was always fun to sing in karaoke because I like music a lot. However, there is almost no karaoke in Norway. I know that there are some karaoke places in Oslo, but they are not good. And expensive. I haven’t been to any karaoke places in Norway yet. In Norway, we don’t have any kind of karaoke-culture. That’s why I want to go back to Korea and sing a lot of my favorite songs there. It's really fun.

There are a lot of restaurants in Korea and you can eat a lot of delicious food everywhere. Koreans usually go to restaurants and coffee shop after work. In Korea, there is a coffee-culture. I went usually to a coffee shop after dinner with my Korean friends. In Korea, you can drink a delicious coffee everywhere. Students often do a homework at a coffee shop. There are about 1000 Starbucks in Korea. I was really surprised when I first went to Korea.
On the other hand, there are only 17 Starbucks in Norway. I do not go to coffee shops in Norway very often. I like Korean coffee-culture because it’s interesting and I can relax there.

Koreans when they want to have fun, usually go to some restaurants or clubs. They usually do not have a party at someone’s house. There are a lot of clubs in Korea and you can go everywhere. For example - “Seoul is the city which doesn’t sleep”. I really enjoyed the Korean life. On the other hand, if you have a party in Norway, you usually meet your friends at someone’s house and drink together with them. We usually call it a “house party” in Norway. Norwegians when they celebrate a birthday or new year, usually spend time at someone’s house. On the other hand, Koreans usually like to have fun outside.
